Located
at Praia de Iracema, Ponte dos Ingleses, or as it´s mostly known,
Ponte Metálica, it was constructed in 1923 to be used as point of
embarkation and disembarkation of cargo and passengers until the
construction of Porto do Mucuripe (60´s), when it was disactivated.
During a long time it was the meeting point of the boemy of Ceará,
nowadays, fully reformed, it owns a wooden platform with security
bars, pubs, restaurants, an observatory of Dolphins (LABOMAR) and
a BookShop (LEC - Livraria do Escritor
Cearense) where homeland artists´s and writers´s works are spread.
The Bridge also atracts dozens of people to see dolphins in the
sea feeding and the most beautiful Sunset of Fortaleza.
